28th GST council meet:

There have been several GST Council Meetings in the past, but this will be the first time the members have met after the one-year anniversary of the new taxation regime

The Council will also discuss the sitting up of a three-bench National GST Appellate Tribunal which will assist in hearing appeals related to GST

The council is also likely to discuss key issues with the reverse charge mechanism and e-way bill difficulties. While the government may not be keen on implementing a sugar cess. However, the final verdict will only come after the meeting ends.
