Asian Games 2018: India won first medal

Shooters Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar won India its first medal at the Asian Games 2018 as they picked up a bronze at the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event behind China and Chinese Taipei.

India picked up their first medal of the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia by winning bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed event on Sunday. Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar finished with an overall score of 429.9 behind China and Chinese Taipei.

They swelled the score to 205.5 in the next 10 attempts, keeping their second spot as Chinese Taipei replaced Korea at the top of the leaderboard. Chandela and Kumar then stood at 308.5 and had a lead of over a point over the team in third place prior to the eliminations.
