Central gov announced RC book in plastic card format

NEW DELHI: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has decided to provide the vehicle driving license and RC booklet only in plastic card format.

These cards are made up of PVCs Or the state governments will made Polycarbonate. It is also suggested that the cards should be standard and long lasting.

The central government may also suggest that the state governments should be able to provide cards with a chip-based smart card or QR code.
