HC ordered movie rate high, theatre license cancel

Madurai: The Madurai highcourt has ordered the cancellation of the theater license if it ensures that the additional charge for Sarkar film in Madurai.

On Deepavali, AR Murugadoss is directing the film ‘Sarkar’ in the Vijay starring actor. Mahendran, a native of Usilampatti, filed a suit in the Madurai High Court, claiming that Sarkar movie ticket price in some theaters in Madurai district was Rs 500 to Rs 1,000.

The audit committee will examine the fees in the theaters that are being investigated by the High Court branch. The District Administration should take appropriate action to monitor the fees. Madurai highcourt was ordered to cancel the theater license if it was determined to charge additional prices
