How Air pollution damage your health
Air pollution, and fine dust, in particular, claims more than four million lives each year, and almost 60% of deaths occur as a result of cardiovascular diseases.
WHO estimates that air pollution causes 2.4 million deaths as a result of heart disease every year. Maternal exposure to air is linked to premature births and life-long neurological and respiratory disorders in children.
Meanwhile, a Britain-based study published in the journal Circulation showed exposure to even low levels of air pollution can have changes in the structure of the heart, similar to those seen in the early stages of heart failure
