The two finalists from India and Russia called as Vishwanathan Anand and Ding Liren respectively announced as a champions jointly as the final match was intervened by the internet and server problem. At first they were declared that Russia as winner ,then protesting with FIDE that there was a problem in internet occurred , then they have considered it and analyzed the problem as this was the first time for them ( FIDE) too to conduct the online matches due to the corona pandemic situation, so they have shared the title to both the teams INDIA and RUSSIA.

Prime minister of India , Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit shah have appreciated team India for their victory in FIDE Championship.
