The Indian women’s team beat Pakistan by five wickets in their Twenty20 Asia Cup clash on Tuesday. 

Pakistan finished on 97/7 from their quota of 20 overs. 

Mithali Raj top scored for India with a knock of 36 as India chased down the target with four balls to spare. Skipper Kaur chipped in with an unbeaten knock of 26 to take her side home in the end.

Pakistan 97/7 in 20 overs (Nain Abidi 37 not out; Ekta Bisht 3/20) lost to India 98/5 in 19.2 overs (Mithali Raj 36; Nida Dar 2/11) by five wickets

India next play Sri Lanka on December 1 followed by their last league match with Nepal a day later.
