Loom workers strike on 2nd day

Loom workers have been on strike for the 2nd consecutive day to demand wage hike near Rajapalayam in Virudhunagar district.

There are a lot of loom workers in the field of medical bandage in areas including Rajapalayam and Chatrapatti.

More than 8,000 loom workers have been involved in the strike yesterday, urging them to pay a 50 percent wage hike of three years and pay wages for workers in festive days.Today is the 2nd day of struggle.
