The Mumbai Port Trust has released an employment notification inviting interested, eligible candidates to apply for the positions of Graduate, Technician and Trade Apprentices.

Name of the posts:

Graduate Apprentice: 5

Technician Apprentice: 6

Trade Apprentice: 248

Educational qualification:

Graduate Apprentice: Those interested in applying for this post should be holding a degree in mechanical/electrical engineering/technology from a recognised university.

Technician Apprentice: Those interested in applying for this post should have pursued a diploma in mechanical/electrical engineering/technology from Board of Technical Education of a state. 

Trade Apprentice: Those interested in applying for this post should have passed class 10 (SSC) or equivalent and National Trade Certificate Examination in the trade of computer operator and programming assistant(COPA) in I.T.I.

Age limit:

The age of the candidates applying for this post must not exceed 21 years and must be minimum 14 years. Relaxation in age will be provided as per the government norms.

Selection procedure:

The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test/interview.

Pay scale:

Graduate Apprentice: The selected candidates will be getting a monthly salary of Rs 4,984.

Technician Apprentice: The selected candidates will be getting a monthly salary of Rs 3,542.

Trade Apprentice: The selected candidates will be getting a monthly salary of Rs 7,741.
