 In Karnataka protest against sugar mills got intensified .Leaders of  Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) drove sugarcane -laden trucks to the Suvarna Soudha premises here on Sunday. Approximately 30 farmers got arrested and tension gripped around. The protesting farmers had parked the trucks in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office and were taken  out to Santi Bastawad village where the Suvarna Soudha is located. Near the Police outpost just before the second gate,vehicles have been parked . They tried to open the second gate’s lock by crushing it with boulders,but the police blocked them.The farmers demanded Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to hold a meeting and shouted slogans against the government. When the protestors were adamant not to leave the premises until the senior officials arrived and ordered factories to pay the arrears, so the police had to arrest them. The arrested leaders were taken to the police station and the entire premises were cleaned and sealed.
