SC ordered No protests in Marina
The Supreme Court has also categorically stated that it will not be allowed to hold protests on the Marina beach of Chennai.
The case was filed in the Chennai High Court last April on behalf of Ayyakannu, chief of the South Indian National Water Supply Association Farmers Association. In that case, he demanded that the Cauvery case ordered to allow 90 days of protests at the Marina beach.
The judges refused to interfere with the judgment of the Tamil Nadu government as it was appealed to the Supreme Court against this ruling. Supreme Court judges have made it clear that they can not allow protests in the Marina beach.
