Skoda launch Superb Sportline in India

Skoda is planning to launch the Superb Sportline in India, and has silently listed the sportier premium sedan on its Indian website. With this, the Czech carmaker is aiming to build on the popularity of the Octavia RS, which has received a good response in the Indian market.

The Sportline is a performance-oriented variant of the standard Superb, featuring cosmetic as well some mechanical updates. It gets 18- or 19-inch glossy black alloy wheels, additional black exterior design elements, ‘Sportline’ badging on front fenders and tinted rear side windows and rear windshield

The diesel Superb, on the other hand, gets a 2.0-litre TDI engine that makes 177PS and 350Nm with a 6-speed DSG.The Superb Sportline, when launched, is expected at a slight premium over the standard Superb, which is priced from Rs 25.59 lakh to Rs 32.99 lakh
