Soumya Swaminathan appointed as chief scientist

Chief scientist of the World Health Organization, Swaminathan’s daughter Soumya Swaminathan has been appointed as chief scientist.

She was a TB researcher and worked as director of the Indian Medical Research Center. She has been working as Deputy Director for World Health Organization Plans for the past two years.

She is currently promoted and will be the chief scientist of the organization. Following this, various parties have expressed their greetings to Soumya Swaminathan.
