Vedanta Group’s filed case; reopening of Sterlite plant

The Vedanta Group has filed a suit against the Chennai High Court seeking reopening of the Sterlite plant.

On behalf of Vedanta Group, the petition has been filed in Chennai High Court. In this, the closure of the Sterlite plant and the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board was illegal and therefore it should be canceled.

The Sterlite has been requested to reopen again, demanding that the power supply be provided to the Tamil Nadu Government Pollution Control Board. T hat case is expected to come back on tomorrow.
