Considering the fast spread of corona virus and as a safety measures chief minister of Tamilnadu has announced that all the 10th public examinations are to be cancelled and students are promoted based on their grades in which 80% of grade allotted from their marks in half yearly and quarterly exams and 20% of marks are to allotted from their attendance.

Remaining 11th public examinations that are scheduled also been cancelled and the cancellation of 10th exams were followed in Telangana, Andrapradesh, Tamilnadu and puducherry
