The affidavit also said that 25 inspections were done on December 2 in Delhi to check flouting of air pollution norms.

The Centre has said that inspection teams, including police personnel, have been deployed at 124 entry points in Delhi to ensure that trucks cannot enter the capital city, except CNG trucks and those carrying essential commodities.

On Friday, the Supreme Court will continue hearing a plea on rising air pollution in the Delhi-NCR region. On Thursday, the Supreme Court had issued a stern warning to the Centre, Delhi government and NCR states, asking them to come up with a concrete plan to curb pollution.

The Supreme Court had warned of action if the governments failed to come up with measures to control pollution.
