Ahead of Avatar: Way of Water’s release worldwide, the makers have decided to re-release the first installment of the movie globally. “The magic is back again!” the makers claim as Avatar is all to return to theatres on September 23, in 4K HDR. Directed and written by James Cameron, a new trailer for the film has also been released for those who are yet to be introduced to this fantastical world by James.

AVATAR TO RE-RELEASE IN INDIA

Avatar was first released in 2009 and was one of the highest-grossing films of all time. The official synopsis of the film reads, “Jake, who is paraplegic, replaces his twin on the Na’vi inhabited Pandora for a corporate mission. After the natives accept him as one of their own, he must decide where his loyalties lie.” Following the re-release, the much-awaited sequel will release on December 16.

AVATAR PLOT

Avatar: Way of Water will focus on the main protagonists of the franchise, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana who play Jake Sully and Na’vi Neytiri in the film. The sequel is more centered around inter-personal relationships and is about protecting families. The key cast members for the sequel include Kate Winslet, Vin Diesel, Sigourney Weaver, and more.

The re-release of Avatar will be available in English in India, as per the announcement. Before this, Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer Spider-Man: No Way Home is also set to release in India again. The film will be available in Hindi and English and will include additional footage as well.
