In view of the assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a continuous tour of Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi is expected to be in Uttar Pradesh four times in December.

According to sources, two visits of the PM have been approved this month and two more visits are being considered in the last two weeks of the month. PM Modi is likely to go to Prayagraj where preparation has started for the mass marriage of one thousand girls. At the same time, there is a buzz of PM Modi’s arrival in Kanpur regarding the inauguration of the metro service.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that Kanpur Metro will be inaugurated by PM Modi. Therefore, it is also discussed that PM Modi can come to Kanpur or can virtually inaugurate Kanpur Metro in the last week of December.

Importantly, before the UP elections, the PM will inaugurate HURL’s fertiliser factory and AIIMS in Gorakhpur and along with this, he will also address a public meeting. Whereas on December 13, he will inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. At present, both these programs have been officially confirmed by the PMO. Approval from the PMO is yet to be received for the remaining two other visits.

PM Modi was on a tour of Lucknow and Jhansi and Mahoba districts of Bundelkhand last month when he held big rallies and inaugurated many government-run schemes. Last week, he inaugurated the Jewar International Airport in Noida, western Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi had earlier inaugurated the Purvanchal Expressway as well.
