Telecom companies Airtel, Jio, BSNL, and Vi offer postpaid plans under Rs 500. These are individual postpaid plans and do not come with family connections. Users looking for family connections should consider the plans which are ranged slightly higher. Government telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is the only telco to offer a postpaid plan at Rs 199, the rest all the telcos offer postpaid plans starting from Rs 399. Users also have the option to migrate from their prepaid SIM cards to postpaid numbers at no additional cost.
The Rs 199 postpaid plan from BSNL offers unlimited domestic calls and 25GB data with a rollover of up to 75GB data. The next postpaid plan from BSNL is priced at Rs 399 and offers 70GB data with rollover up to 210GB and unlimited domestic calls.
Jio’s Rs 399 postpaid plan, which is the only individual postpaid plan from the telco, gives access to Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar right from its Rs 399 postpaid plan. This helps users look for daily data and calling benefits along with bundled OTT benefits. The plan gives access to 75GB data with 200GB rollover data. It also gives access to unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. It also gives access to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar. However, Jio’s website notes that Rs 99 is applicable for Prime benefits.
Airtel gives postpaid plans starting from Rs 399 and offers 40GB of data with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day. The plan is basic and gives no other streaming benefits than Airtel XStream. Jio gives access to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile and Netflix to postpaid plans starting from Rs 399. Airtel’s Rs 499 postpaid plan gives access to 75GB monthly data with 200GB rollover data. It also gives access to 100 SMS per day. Airtel Thanks Platinum rewards with this plan include Amazon Prime membership for one year at no extra cost, Disney+ Hotstar mobile subscription, handset protection, access to Shaw academy, Juggernaut books, Airtel X-stream App premium and Wynk premium. The company’s website notes that customers can add more family connections to their plan, chargeable at Rs 299 for regular SIM that gives 30GB data, unlimited calls and 100SMS per day.
Vodafone Idea or Vi has the broadest range of postpaid plans for individuals as well as family connections. The individual postpaid plans from Vi also start at Rs 399 but do not give access to streaming benefits apart from Vi movies and TV. Individual plans priced at Rs 499 and Rs 699 give access to 75GB data and the Rs 699 plan gives access to unlimited data. These are individual postpaid plans and give access to streaming benefits like Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar and Vi movies and TV. The Rs 699 postpaid plan gives two connections and 80GB data with 40GB for the primary connection and 40GB for the secondary connection.
