Ajay Devgn is awaiting the release of Drishyam 2, slated to hit the screens on Friday, November 18. The film has piqued the curiosity of fans as it is a sequel to Drishyam (2015). The grapevine suggests that the flick may get a sequel in the near future. Director Abhishek Pathak has now reacted to these rumours. In an interview, he said that the project is unlikely to materialise anytime soon.

IS DRISHYAM 3 ON THE CARDS?

Director Abhishek Pathak, who directed the Ajay Devgn-led Drishyam 2, has revealed that there are no immediate plans to make a sequel to the film. He added that Drishyam 3 will happen only when there’s a ‘beautiful script’ for the same.

“There is chatter but at the moment there is nothing happening. It’s going to take a little while to write it. They took seven years. If we come up with something, we are going to take a couple of years. They just made the film last year. Drishyam as a franchise, I don’t think no one should hurry to make it. It’s a brand that needs a beautiful screenplay. Till the time you don’t get it, I don’t think anyone will make it,” he told Pinkvilla.
