Ajith Kumar, who is fondly called Thala by his fans, doesn’t want to be referred with the prefix any more. The actor, who is not on social media, often shares his pictures and messages through his manager. Today (December 1), his publicist, Suresh Chandra, took to social media to share Ajith’s message where he requested his fans and the media to not call him Thala. They can either call him by his name Ajith or Ajith Kumar or just AK.

AR Murugadoss’s Dheena made Ajith the ‘mass hero’ and helped him get the epithet ‘Thala’. His character was fondly called Thala in the film. “To The Respected members of the Media, public and genuine fans. I henceforth wish to be referred to as Ajith, Ajith Kumar or just AK n not as Thala or any other prefix b4 my name. I sincerely wish you all a beautiful life filled with good health, happiness, success, peace of mind and contentment forever. Love Ajith (sic),” read the tweet.

The actor, who is also a passionate biker has a great fan following. If his on-screen persona is captivating enough, his off-screen personality is something that is extremely intriguing to people.

On the work front, Ajith is awaiting the release of his next film Valimai, which is directed by H Vinoth. Valimai will release in theatres on Pongal 2022. Produced by Boney Kapoor, Valimai also stars Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.
