Akshay Kumar-starrer Bell Bottom will hit theatres on August 19. The film will be released in 3D. Earlier, it was scheduled to hit screens on July 27. The actor took to social media to announce the new release date of the film. In a short video clip, he can be seen wearing a pair of 3D glasses. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles.

Announcing that Bell Bottom will be released in 3D in theatres on August 19, Akshay Kumar shared a short video clip featuring himself. In the video, the actor is seen wearing a pair of 3D glasses. He wrote, “Poore feel ke saath thrill experience karna on 19th August. #BellBottom also arriving in 3D. #BellBottomIn3D (sic).” The film was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on July 27.

A few days ago, Akshay shared a motion poster of the film to announce the new release date of Bell Bottom. He wrote, “Mission: To Entertain you on the BIG SCREEN Date: August 19, 2021. Announcing the arrival of #BellBottom! #BellBottomInCinemasAug19 (sic).”

ABOUT BELL BOTTOM

Bell Bottom is a spy thriller set in the 80s. It is based on the plane hijacks that took India by storm back then. Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of a RAW agent. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. It is reported that Dutta essays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who was in power at that time, in the film. Vaani plays Kumar’s wife in the film.

Written by Aseem Arora and Parveez Shaikh, Bell Bottom is the first film to start and finish shooting during the coronavirus pandemic. It was shot in Scotland.
