Tollywood’s sought after actor Balakrishna who is also the MLA of the Hindupur constituency stays active on social media and keeps in touch with his fans. Along with movies and his constituency works, he also helps the needy people and looks over the operations of the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital which was established by his father and legendary Tollywood actor Senior NTR.

Today being the 21^st foundation day of the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Balakrishna visited the hospital and organized a small event on this special occasion. Balakrishna took to his Facebook page and shared a couple of photos from the event and also jotted down a few lines about the hospital.

His post reads, “Today marks the 21st year of Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in delivering the best Cancer Care. The Hospital was founded by my father Sri Late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Garu in remembrance of my mother Smt. Late Basavatarakam Garu, who fought a tough battle with cancer. The vision of Sri Late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Garu has come true with the help of many great & generous philanthropists. I am proud to say that we have become one of India’s best cancer care hospitals.

Even with the present pandemic situation causing everyone’s life to be on hold, I am happy to say that we have still prioritized & treated our cancer patients without any hindrance. On behalf of the board of trustees, I thank and wish the entire Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute family a very Happy 21st Foundation Day!”

Well, yesterday he also participated in a small event on the occasion of Hyderabad mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi’s birthday. 

Along with sharing the pics on his Facebook page, Balakrishna also wrote, “I wish Smt. Vijayalaxmi Gadwal, GHMC MAYOR,  a very Happy Birthday! Thank you for celebrating your special day with our Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute patients and being a part of their journey. I wish her good health and happiness forever.”

Speaking about Balakrishna’s movie front, he will be next seen in versatile director Boyapati’s Akhanda. This movie has Pragya Jaiswal as the lead actress and Srikanth in the antagonist role. Akhanda is being bankrolled by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under the Dwaraka Creations banner.

The recently released teaser and first look posters raised excitement amongst fans and turned Akhanda into one of the most awaited movies of the season. It marks the third collaboration of Boyapati and Balakrishna after the blockbuster hits of Simha and Legend movies.
