In Delhi when the city got its new mayor there were scenes that were unpleasant. It was the election of the six members of the standing committee. It was an overnight chaos and the 9th time MCD house was adjoined. For a day it’s extended . AAP & BJP councillors clashed with each other. The ballot paper booklet was broken by BJP councillor Amit Nagpal. The podium was damaged by BJP Mayor candidate Rekha Gupta . The councillor hurled water bottles at each other. Many BJP women councillors interrupted voting. The war of words between the AAP & BJP members started early morning today. As a way of protesting BJP members chanted ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ and ‘Hanuman Chalisa’. There were video scenes of the chaos . Bottled water were sprayed against each other. Even half eaten apples were thrown against each other. Raja Iqbal Singh, former North Delhi mayor told PTI, “I got hit in the back with a bottle, and there were apples and other things being flung around in the air during the commotion. It was unimaginable.”
