Chartered Accountant (CA) exams’ matter will go for a hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday, June 28. The Supreme Court has decided to take this matter after a lot of students across the country have been demanding an opt-out option and/or an extra chance in the CA Exams of 2021.

The plea has been filed in the Supreme Court by an activist and advocate Anubha Shrivastava Sahai. Since many days, the students had been demanding the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to look into the matter of CA exams. However, no response was seen from the body. Hence, now the matter will be heard in the Supreme Court by a bench led by Justice AM Khanwilkar.

CA Exams 2021: Students Concerns

  1. To make sure the students are vaccinated before they sit for exams
  2. Opt out option must be available to all the students without any conditions.
  3. Exam cycles must not be merged. Instead, an additional exam cycle must be there for students who have opted out.
  4. A dialogue with students must happen to understand their concerns and then the institute must take a decision about the exams accordingly.

Earlier the Supreme Court also heard the matter of AP Inter Exams 2021. The demand for the CA Exams 2021 has also risen seeing the on-going crisis of COVID-19.
