Acomplaint has been filed against actor Kangana Ranaut over a comment she made recently on India’s Independence and the matter is being investigated by police.

A Congress leader from Jaipur filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut at Vaishali Nagar police station for her comment, where she described India’s independence as ‘bheek’ or alms.

Ranaut had also said that the country’s freedom came in 2014, when the Narendra Modi-led government came to power.

The complainant said that Kangana Ranaut’s ‘bheek’ comment is an insult to the Indian Constitution and freedom fighters, according to Hira Lal Saini, SHO, Vaishali Nagar police station.

“Police is investigating the matter and will register a case if a cognizable offence is found,” the SHO told India Today TV.
