On Wednesday a meeting was conducted by Prime Minister Modi. This meeting was a high level one in the midst of an increase of the influenza cases in India. The significance of genome sequencing was primarily discussed and he has asked others to be vigilant. Modi said Covid is far from over. Yesterday the active covid cases touched 7,026 and many new cases have been registered. The surge of average daily cases and active cases has been discussed with PM. The week report ending on   March 22. Number of deaths were 5,30,813 due to the virus. Kerala, Gujarat, chattisgarh, Maharashtra  and  Delhi registered one death each. Many fresh covid cases were reported in Maharashtra being 3340 in number. It witnessed one fatality , as cases increased to 1648. Kerala Health Minister Veena George also said in a meeting , “There are a total of 1,026 active cases of COVID-19, and 111 people are under treatment in hospitals. All districts have been alerted.” PM also appealed to people  to follow covid appropriate behaviour.
