Cryptocurrency prices improved on Tuesday after starting off the week on a tepid note. All popular virtual coins rose today as Bitcoin led the charge.

Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, was trading 3.61 per cent higher than its price 24 hours ago at 1:25 pm. Bitcoin is likely to cross $50,000 later in the day after a sudden shock led to a sharp decline a few weeks ago.

The popular cryptocurrency’s market capitalisation has increased to $931 billion and the 24-hour trading volume has increased to $1.24 billion. This suggests an improvement in the Bitcoin buying momentum and is a good sign for the overall cryptocurrency market.

Ether, the largest altcoin, was trading nearly 1 per cent higher or almost $3,400. The cryptocurrency’s market capitalisation is on the verge of crossing $400 billion and the 24-hour trading volume stood at $819.08 million.

Most other altcoins were also trading higher than their value 24 hours ago including XRP, Cardano, Polkadot, Stellar, Dogecoin, Polygon and Litecoin.

Commenting on the strong momentum, Edul Patel, CEO and Co-founder of Mudrex, a global algorithm based crypto investment platform, said, “The cryptocurrency market has slowly started to recover from the volatility of the previous week.”

“With traded volumes rising more than 20 per cent, most of the top cryptos are following a bullish momentum. The coming 24 hours could likely be another good session for the crypto investors,” he added.
