From New Delhi early on Thursday morning , weather has been updated by IMD. Cyclone Biparjoy will further move in the next three days towards northwest India and before that it will further intensify into a severe cyclonic storm in the next 48 hours. Weather department tweeted “VSCS BIPARJOY over east central Arabian Sea, lay centered at 2330hrs IST of 07 Jun, 2023 near lat 13.6N & long 66.0E, about 870km west-southwest of Goa, 930km SW of Mumbai. It would intensify further gradually during next 48 hrs and move nearly north-northwestwards during next 3 days.” For the next 3 to 4 days there is an expectation of a very severe cyclonic. As per skymet weather since there is a long sea travel for the storm it may intensify due to favourable conditions. While filing this cyclone Biparjoy was recorded. It was centered around 910 km southwest of Mumbai and around 860 km west southwest of Goa. Gujarat is all set ready to tackle the possible natural calamities . Fishermen have been restricted to not enter the sea till June 14. Between June 9 and June 11 cyclone is likely to cause light rains in Saurashtra and South Gujarat regions. In several south western states a wind warning is issued by IMD for the next 5 days. In adjoining areas of the west central and southeast Arabian Sea , gale winds are expected to prevail on June 7. It has a speed limit of 80- 90 kmph. In Kerala there are chances of mild monsoon onset as the conditions seem to be favourable for the next 2 days.
