Courtroom number 66 in Delhi’s Karkardooma Court complex witnessed a filmy scene when a man tried to vent out his anger, that too in a Bollywood way.

The Karkardooma courtroom echoed with actor Sunny Deol’s iconic dialogue ‘tareekh par tareekh’ (day after day) when the man, Rakesh, started shouting the movie dialogue, alleging that the court was only giving him dates for the hearing.

Rakesh, a resident of Shastri Nagar in Delhi, had been visiting the Karkardooma court in connection with a case which has reportedly been pending before the court since 2016.

The incident happened on July 17, when on one such visit to the Karkardooma Court, Rakesh shouted the dialogue ‘tareekh par tareekh’ — a dialogue from the movie Damini — and vandalised furniture and computers in the courtroom during the hearing of the case.

Rakesh also smashed the dais of the judge inside the courtroom, police was quoted by news agency ANI as saying.

Following the ruckus, Rakesh was arrested by police present at the moment and presented before a magistrate after a case was registered at the Farshbazar police station.

The Delhi Police has booked Rakesh under section 186 (voluntarily obstructs any public servant in the discharge of his public functions), Section 353 (assaults or uses criminal force to any person being a public servant) and Section 427 (mischief) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation).

‘Tareekh par tareekh’ is a dialogue from the movie Damini with Sunny Deol as one of the lead actors.
