For the next four days The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy downpours for Central India and western regions too. Different parts of the country is receiving heavy rains. Incessant rains triggered leading to landslides where several roads in Uttarakhand were blocked. On the other hand all schools and colleges have been instructed to stay closed due to heavy rains . For the past few days it’s heavy downpours in many areas of Uttarakhand. The state capital Dehradun has also received a yellow alert when being sent to other districts too. In isolated areas there maybe light to moderate and heavy rainfall as per IMD. The clearance of debris being going on in Uttarakhand so 241 roads were blocked including the Rishikesh Yamunotri National Highway . In open roads for traffic movement purpose two hundred JCB ‘s were deployed. Waterlevel recording at River Ganga is 292.80 metres . A red alert for Mumbai and several districts of Maharashtra has been issued by IMD . Fishermen are not allowed to venture into sea and citizens have been advised to stay indoors. All exams dated July 27 of Mumbai University has been postponed owing heavy rains. Himachal Pradesh is on alert due to heavy cloudbursts and flashfloods.
