Husband arrested over Delhi-based air hostess Anissia Batra’s suicide

Police have arrested Mayank Singhvi over the suicide of his wife Anissia Batra, who killed herself on July 13 at her Panchsheel Park home in New Delhi.Anissia, 39, jumped from the terrace of her home after a heated argument with Mayank.

Anissia’s family has accused Mayank of repeatedly assaulting their daughter while they were married. The family has also said that Mayank used to harass Anissia for dowry.

Delhi Police at a press conference today said that minutes before dying, Anissia had texted Mayank that she was going to end her life and that the next thing he would see is her dead.
