IIIT students Innovation project; Rs10 lakh fund

IIIT Department of Science and Technology (DST), Lockheed Martin and Tata Trusts announced the winners of the India Innovation Growth Programme 2.0 (IIGP) University Challenge Downselect competition in the grand prize distribution ceremony held in Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi on August 2, 2018.

In the event, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) students bagged Rs. 10 Lakh funding for their innovative VTOL-UAV project. The competition was held on June 29 and 30 in IIT Bombay.

Mukul Chhabra, Saksham Vohra, Aseem Saini and Devesh Yadav, B.Tech second-year students at IIIT-Delhi represented the institute in IIGP University Challenge as a team of four. The team has got a support of Rs. 10 lakh for their project which is “A multipurpose VTOL (Vertical Take Off Landing) hybrid UAV for smart cities”.
