IIT BHU student has received a Rs. 2-crore package on Day 1 of the Placement drive. Surprising many with the offer, this student has been recruited by a firm in San Francisco. This time, over 1k students are a part of this drive and are hoping to get jobs.

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT BHU student has achieved something that many first-time job seekers dream about. The student has received a Rs. 2-crore package on Day 1 of the Placement drive. Surprising many people with this offer, the student has been recruited by a service-provider in San Francisco, USA.  

IIT BHU Placement drive is underway and this year, more than 1,000 students are a part of it. Adjusting to the changing environment and adopting the hybrid mode, students have organised the placement drive themselves, by setting up computers and laptops on their own.  

The Placement drive is being held round the clock, for 24 hours as many foreign MNCs are also extending their offers to the students of IIT BHU. This cycle would last for about 5 days and more than 200 firms are expected to extend offers to students part of the drive. 

Several companies and big names have come for the Placement drive. Some of the names are Microsoft, Wipro, Tata Steel, Jaguar, Google, Reliance, Samsung, JIO 5G, OYO, Flipkart, Amazon, Uber, Tata Consultancy Servics (TCS), Zomato and others. 

IIT BHU Placement drive is being conducted at Rajputana Hostel of Placement Institute, where all the organising students are on full-time duty. The organising committee comprises of students pursuing B.Tech and IDD, Integrated Dual Degree courses.  

These students have worked day and night to make sure that the Institute’s money is saved for this year’s placements. Apart from setting up the placement systems themselves, students have also prepared a IIT BHU Placement portal on their own. With all these initiatives, they have managed to save almost Rs. 50 lakhs of the Institute.
