Ilayaraja said “Kalaignar was the last political Leader!”

Music director Ilayaraja who is a very close friend of late Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, is currently in Australia for a music programme that was booked 6 months ago.

Since he couldn’t make it to the funeral, he made sure that he sent his condolence message through a video.

He says: “Dear people of Tamil Nadu. This is a very sad day for us. The death of Dr. Karunanidhi is a sad thing indeed. I don’t know how we are going to overcome this loss and get back to normalcy. “
