India’s Vice-President appreciates Karthi’s film

High-ranking bureaucrats have been publicly congratulating south Indian celebs through their social media handles. Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu has heaped laurels on actor Karthi for his portrayal of a farmer in the film Chinna Babu (the Telugu version of Kadaikutty Singam).

Mr Naidu believes that cinema is an art form that has the power to influence people and society.

“I happened to watch the recent Telugu release Chinna Babu. Set against the backdrop of a prosperous village, the film entertains while emphasising our culture and tradition of beautiful living without including any profane or inappropriate elements,” he said.
