  • Four models of iPhones are rumoured to launch on September 17.
  • Apple might also launch the new AirPods in the following event on September 30.
  • Previous speculations hinted at a similar launch date for the new iPhones.

Apple may have set a date for its iPhone 13 series launch, but we are yet to hear that. However, a new post spotted on a Chinese social media website suggests that the Cupertino tech major will come out with its next iPhone lineup on September 17 Friday. Notably, the new leaked date is for the sale date of the new iPhone series. For those unaware, Apple has hosted its launch events on Tuesdays and starts the sale on a Friday.

Alongside, the post also suggests that the company will mark the debut of third-generation AirPods on Thursday, September 30. The dates have been hinted at in a new post on Weibo that was spotted by Chinese publication IT Home. The post shows images of an e-commerce app mentioning the dates against the upcoming Apple products.

As per the app’s screenshots, Apple will start selling all four iPhone 13 models on September 17. These will include iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The iPhone launch will be followed by the introduction of AirPods 3 later in September.

Such September dates have previously been hinted at for the iPhone launch. It was earlier predicted that the new iPhones would be debuted in the third week of September, as Apple will stick to the launch event timeline it follows every year. The new date is completely in line with this speculation.

Then again, the dates might not be totally correct. As MacRumors notes, the Chinese publication has made similar predictions in the past, and they have turned out to be horribly wrong. The September 17, thus, just might be yet another shot in the dark.

Moreover, the image of the e-commerce app could have easily been faked by the uploader. Since there is no other confirmation on the dates, we should take the September 17 launch date for iPhones as only a possibility and nothing else.

Whether the date turns out to be the real one or not, Apple already seems invested in the event and its shoot. In a recent update on Twitter, Lisa Jackson, Apple’s VP of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, uploaded a photo of herself that might hold a hint for Apple’s upcoming event. In here photo, Jackson can be seen posing in front of the concentric circular highlights on the ceiling, a signature of the Steve Jobs theatre where a lot of Apple events have taken place before. In addition, some production equipment can also be seen in a far corner of the stage, indicating that the company might be carrying out the shoot for its upcoming events.
