Apple is all set to introduce the “made in India” iPhone 13 soon. The trial production of the newly-launched iPhone 13 series has already begun in the Foxconn plant near Chennai. The Cupertino-giant is expected to start the commercial production of iPhone 13 in India for the domestic market as weak as for exports by February 2022.

As per Economic Times report, Apple wants to make all its top-selling smartphone models in India. Apple will start manufacturing iPhone 13 for the domestic markets as well as for the exports by February. The report further reveals that Apple has secured supply semiconductor chips, which are not readily available. The supply of the semiconductor chips that Apple has secured is in short supply across the world.

The ET reports state that the iPhone 13 production in India will help Apple in improving supplies of the model into its global markets. Interestingly, Apple already produces iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 at India’s Foxconn play and the second-generation iPhone SE at the Wistron plant in Bengaluru. As per the report, Apple makes 70 percent of the smartphones it sells in India, which includes the best-selling models including the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone XR and iPhone SE and soon iPhone 13 will join the list of best-selling smartphones that will be produced in India.

iPhone 13: Price and specifications

iPhone 13 has been priced at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB variant in India. However, with bank discounts and other offers you can get it at a cheaper price.

As far as the specs are concerned, iPhone 13 features a 6.1 OLED panel with a resolution of 2532×1170 pixels and a pixel density of 460 PPI. The iPhone 13 is powered by an A15 Bionic chipset which is based on 5nm manufacturing and has a 6-core CPU. Apple claims its new chipset is 50 per cent faster than the current competition. The Cupertino-giant has also improved the battery life of the iPhone 13. The device comes with an improved battery with 1.5 hrs of additional battery life than the iPhone 12.

In the camera department, the iPhone 13 features a new 12-megapixel wide-angle with f/1.6 aperture, which is 47 per cent larger than the previous gen. Now, this should allow it to capture more light and get better low light results. There’s another 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a faster f/2.4 lens and 120-degree field of view.
