The iPhone SE 3 has been subjected to a host of leaks. Now fresh renders have appeared with a distinctive looking design. Keeping that in mind, we decided to update you with the latest information available around this smartphone.

Apple, last year, surprised everyone with an affordable iPhone, the iPhone SE 2020, that packed decent hardware, however, the design turned out to be a huge letdown. Now that Apple is working on the iPhone SE 2020 successor, it would want to fix all the caveats, including the design.
Now there’s a lot of conflict about the name of this upcoming device, therefore until further clarification, we will be calling it iPhone SE 3. This smartphone has been subjected to several leaks helping us with plenty of details. A few more renders have appeared, hinting towards a different design from what we had on previous leaks. But it’s worth noting that this redesign is not coming until 2023, as per the leaker.
Although we do not have a launch as of yet, we’re hoping that Apple will spill a few beans about this upcoming device during the WWDC 2021 that’s just around the corner. With that in mind, we decided to detail everything we know so far about the iPhone SE 3.
iPhone SE 3 specs and features
–The upcoming iPhone SE 3 has seen plenty of leaks, some of which suggest that it will feature a 5.5-inch display, whereas others point out towards an even bigger 6.1-inch display. Analyst Ross Young also believes that this device will feature a 6.1-inch display, but that model isn’t coming until 2023.
–Now, Apple Lab has created some renders based on a rumour about the iPhone SE coming in 2023. From what we can see, the smartphone seems to feature a square-edged design, more like the iPhone 12 models. The single-camera on the rear and a flash are placed in a horizontal pill-shaped module. On the front, it can be seen sporting a centred punch-hole display with minimal bezels.
–None of the iPhone SE 3 renders we’ve seen features touch-ID, which leads us to believe that it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. Apple lab and a few other leaks are hinting towards the same.
–The display is supposed to remain off the LCD kind to keep the price of the smartphone in check. Another reason for the additional LCD display on the iPhone SE 3 is to differentiate it from the top tier iPhones.iPhone SE 3 renders
–Apple shipped the iPhone SE 2020 with the A13 Bionic chipset, so we are assuming the upcoming SE model will feature the current-gen A14 Bionic SoC. This is a hexa-core chipset built on a 5nm manufacturing process. It is a reasonably powerful chipset that can slice through almost anything thrown at it.
–The previous iteration, i.e. the iPhone SE 2020, shipped in three variants 64GB, 128GB and 256GB and the same is expected for the upcoming iPhone SE 3.
–The single rear camera on the iPhone SE 2020 wasn’t bad either, so it is supposed that Apple might go the same way. Even the leaked renders suggest the same for the iPhone SE 3. That being said, nothing can be said for sure based on these early rumours.
–The mediocre battery life on the iPhone SE 2020 was a major concern, so we are hoping Apple fixes that. We have also heard that this device may feature Qi wireless charging. Finally, the device is expected to bring 5G and WiFi 6 support.
iPhone SE 3 launch date
The iPhone SE 2020 did not arrive at the Spring Loaded event held on Apple 20. So all the focus has now shifted to the WWDC 2021 event that kicks off on June 7. It’s supposed that Apple may reveal a few details about this device during the event. In case that doesn’t happen, the launch could be pushed to 2022 as per some other leaks.
iPhone SE 3 India price
The iPhone SE 3 is going to be Apple’s next budget offering. It will be competing with a host of powerful Android devices in a similar price bracket. Keeping that and the previous pricing in mind, we expect the iPhone SE 3 to be priced around Rs 45000.
