The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) will launch three passenger satellites into space on its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicles (PSLV) on Thursday. The three satellites belonging to Singapore are being launched under a contract with NewSpace India Limited.

The PSLV C-523 mission will lift off from the Second Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota at 6:00 pm. The countdown for the mission will begin during the day as Isro enters the final phase of preparation and checkouts ahead of the passenger launch.

PSLV-C53 is the second dedicated commercial mission of NewSpace India Limited and will be the 55th mission of PSLV and the 15th mission using the PSLV-Core Alone variant. It is the 16th PSLV launch from the second launch pad. In a new development, Isro will attempt to use the spent upper stage of the launch vehicle as a platform for scientific payloads after it separates.
