Actor Jacqueline Fernandez appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday. She was asked to join the probe into the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

She is now being questioned at the ED’s office in Mumbai.

Earlier, Fernandez had skipped the questioning on four different occasions. The actor had told the ED that she would not be able to join the probe for personal reasons, according to sources.

The ED has been investigating financial transactions between Jacqueline Fernandez and conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Her statement has already been recorded by the agency on at least one occasion.

In her initial statement to the ED, Jacqueline Fernandez had told investigators that she, too, was a victim of Sukesh Chandrashekhar and denied any wrongdoing.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, along with his wife and actor Leena Paul, is in ED custody along with five others in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case.
