Karnataka Government has issued notices to schools and asked them to ensure that the National Anthem is sung after daily prayers. The notices were issued to three schools in Bengaluru for non-compliance after reports. Schools have reportedly agreed to comply to the government order.The notices were issued to St Joseph’s Boys’ High School, Bishop Cotton Boys’ High School and Baldwin Girls’ High School after NGO’s reported that schools in Bengaluru were allegedly not allowing or made to sing the National Anthem after the prayers. The state government ordered a probe and issued a notice asking the schools to comply.Speaking to Times Now, Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh told that the schools have been issued the notices following the complaint. He has also confirmed that the schools have agreed that the National Anthem would be sung daily.The government has on August 11 issued an order stating that all schools and pre-university colleges in the state must ask students to sing the National Anthem after daily prayers. The order mandates the singing of the anthem and is applicable to all government, aided and unaided schools in the state as well as the PU Colleges. The order further states that in case of constraint of space, the students must sing the National Anthem in their classrooms
