Karunanidhi health is better says daughter Kanimozhi

Former Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi was shifted to Kauvery Hospital in the early hours of Saturday after his blood pressure dropped.

His condition is now stable. Crowds have gathered in large numbers outside his residence as well as the hospital. A health bulletin from the hospital stated that Karunanidhi’s blood pressure has been stabilized with medical management and he is being monitored and treated by a panel of expert doctors.

The DMK patriarch retreated from mainstream politics in 2016 after being diagnosed with a drug-induced allergy and his son, M K Stalin took over as the working president of the party
