In Alappuzha district of Kerala ,a group of vegetarian students of College of engineering campus of CUSAT near Alappuzha have complained that they were made to eat non-vegetarian food. Beef cutlets were served as a vegetable dish , was the complaint to the district authorities.  On Sunday students from Bihar told  reporters that  the  food was served in connection with a seminar held at the college at Pulincunnoo on 25 January.   The campus is head quartered in Kochi and is functioning under the Kochi University of Science and Technology.  Angithkumar and Himashukumza alleged the college authorities told them that it was vegetable cutlets when repeatedly asked whether it was beef or veg, which was when they proceeded to eat them. “Only after consuming it, we came to know that these were beef cutlets,” Angithkumar said.  Regarding this the students have lodged a complaint with the district collector. The students said it was done with the knowledge of college principal.  Consuming beef is a matter related to their faith and religion and students were depressed on realizing this.  For the statement ,college authorities  could not be reached.
