YouTube reviewer – widely known as Blue Sattai Maran is making his directorial debut with the movie ‘Anti Indian’ which is all set to release on December 10 in theatres. Earlier, the censor board had not given its consent to certify the film and refused its screening.
Later, a revising committee was formed and the movie went through a number of changes including the removal of some objectional scenes and dialogues. Reportedly, the movie included the reference to two political parties in Tamil Nadu and the censor board asked to remove the reference. The movie was then passed with U/A certificate.
The movie premiered for film critics and other directors this week. The 2-hour long film received praises and accolades from not only reviewers and movie buffs but also famous directors like Bharathiraja, Bhagyaraj, Seeman and Cheran.
Speaking in an interview, Seeman appreciated the way the movie was taken forward by Maran. He also appreciated how the movie was planned in a span of 18 days. Following the Hindi movies ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Anti Indian’ is the most criticised for getting the approval of the censor board.
