On Thursday night Union Minister of State for External Affairs RK Ranjan Singh’s residence was torched by a mob in Imphal. He is staying in Kongba district . On June 15 Imphal Minister Minister Nemcha Kipgen residence was set ablaze. It was with just a day’s gap. MEA Rajkumar Ranjan Singh said, “I am currently in Kerala for official work. Thankfully, nobody got injured last night at my Imphal home.The miscreants came with petrol bombs and the ground floor and first floor of my house are damaged.” It was at 11pm the crowd forcefully entered his home and tried to set ablaze his property. The houseguards present there also could not prevent mob ‘s entry. Finally gas shells had to be used to disperse the mob by the police. The Minister and his family were not present at home when this incident took place. “It is very sad to see what is happening in my home state. I will still continue to appeal for peace. Those indulging in this kind of violence are absolutely inhuman,” RK Singh said. On June 15th also another house was burnt by miscreants in Imphal.
