Indian cricketers Mayank Agarwal, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and KL Rahul enjoyed a fun barbecue night out with head coach Rahul Dravid among others in Centurion on Tuesday.

The cricketers were also accompanied by batting coach Vikram Rathour, team physio Nitin Patel and some of the other support staff members dined in style as they had a BBQ night right in the middle of what seemed like a big lawn.

Mayank Agarwal even posted a couple of pictures from the BBQ night and captioned his post – “Nothing like a fiery BBQ nigh”.

India travelled to Johannesburg from Mumbai in a chartered plane and have been staying at the African Pride Irene Country Lodge.

They will lock horns with South Africa in a series of 3 Tests in Centurion, Johannesburg and Cape Town from December 26 while Paarl and Cape Town will host the 50-over matches from January 19.

The upcoming Tests and the 3 ODIs after that will be played without fans after Cricket South Africa decided not to sell any tickets due to the Covid-19 scare in the country.

All eyes will be on the new captain-coach combination of Virat Kohli and Dravid as they have begun on a winning note, beating New Zealand 1-0 at home. But the challenge is certainly going to get tougher in South Africa with India beginning the series with the much-anticipated Boxing Day Test in Centurion.

A lot will be expected of India, especially after the highs that the Test team achieved under the leadership of former coach Ravi Shastri and Kohli. In fact, India began their journey to become one of the finest touring sides in South Africa 3 years ago. It was also the first overseas Test assignment for Shastri and Kohli combine after the former India captain had taken over from Anil Kumble as the full-time head coach.
