Xiaomi has launched two new laptops in India. The Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra were both launched during the Mi Smarter Living 2022 on Thursday afternoon. These are the second generation Mi Notebook laptops and will succeed the Mi Notebook 14 from last year. Xiaomi has already confirmed that the new line-up will replace last year’s series. This means that all the Mi Notebook 14 series machines will sell only till the stock lasts.

Both the laptops were introduced alongside the Mi Band 6, Mi TV 5X and few more products. All the devices were launched during an online event. The major upgrade on the new Mi Notebook laptops is the backlit keyboard which was missing from previous Xiaomi laptops. The machines also come with up to 3.2k displays and 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake processors.

Mi Notebook Ultra and Mi Notebook Pro prices in India

The Mi Notebook Pro price in India starts at Rs 56,999 for the 8GB RAM variant with Core i5 processor, at Rs 59,999 for the 16GB RAM with Core i5 processor and at Rs 72,999 for the 16GB RAM variant with Core i7 processor. The Mi Notebook Ultra price in India starts at Rs 59,999 for the 8GB RAM variant with Core i5 processor, at Rs 63,999 for the 16GB RAM with Core i5 processor and at Rs 76,999 for the 16GB RAM variant with Core i7 processor.

Mi Notebook Ultra features

The Mi Notebook Ultra is the more premium of the two laptops. It features a 15.6-inch 3.2k (or WQHD+) display with 90Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. It has a peak brightness of 300 nits and offers offer 100 per cent sRGB colour gamut coverage. The laptop also supports DC dimming to reduce flickering under light. It will be available in two CPUs options. You can choose between 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake Core i5 or Core i7 variants. There is also an option to choose from 8GB or 16GB of RAM. The internal storage has been fixed at 512GB.

The laptop weighs 1.7 kilograms and is 17.9mm thick. It is available in a single Lustrous Gray colour variant, features a backlit keyboard and a built-in 720p webcam. Xiaomi has also embedded the fingerprint scanner on top of the power button.

For connectivity, you get a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB 2.0 port and an HDMI port. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack. The audio is taken care by a two 2W speaker system with DTS audio support. The laptop packs a 70WHr battery which is claimed to give 12 hours of back up. It ships with a 65W fast charger.

The customers will get a Windows 10 Home Edition along with MS Office Home and Student edition

Mi Notebook Pro features

The Mi Notebook Pro has identical features as the Ultra variant. However, it comes with a 14-inch IPS anti-glare display with 2.5k resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. It can support up to 60Hz refresh rate. It uses a 56WHr battery which is claimed to offer an 11-hour back up. The machine is lighter at 1.4 kgs.
