Microsoft’s Surface event is here, and we expect to see many new Surface devices. The company will be live streaming the event on its website along with some social media platforms like Twitter. The Surface hardware event starts at 8:30 pm IST on Wednesday.

The September hardware event timing is interesting considering Microsoft releases Windows 11 on October 5, and we are confident that all new Surface devices will launch with Windows 11 out-of-the-box.

The first big device likely to be showcased today during the keynote is the Surface Pro 8, an upgrade to the Surface Pro 7 that launched in 2019. Several leaks in recent days have hinted at some specs of the upcoming Surface Pro 8. The second much-anticipated Surface device is the Surface Go 3, a successor to last year’s Surface Go 2.

Microsoft is also expected to announce an upgraded Surface Duo which may or may not launch as the Surface Duo 2. The new Surface Duo will be an important device for Microsoft, considering the foldable segment is seeing some new launches like Galaxy Z Fold 3. Another interesting device likely to make an appearance today could be the new Surface Book model.

Surface Pro 8, Surface Duo 2, and other Surface models that may launch today

The Surface Pro 8 is most likely to make an appearance today and is expected to be the flag bearer of the new Windows 11, just like the original Surface Pro in 2012 for Windows 8. Surface Pro 8 leaks so far have hinted towards fewer visual changes and more upgrades under the hood. The laptop is likely to come with a 120Hz display with Thunderbolt support, pack an Intel 11th Gen processor, and feature a 13-inch display with thin bezels all around. A leak has claimed that the Surface Pro 8 may come with a replaceable SSD hard drive. A recent leak even claimed that the Surface Pro 8 may launch in India at Rs 59,999.

Surface Duo 2 is likely to see some design changes compared to the first-gen Duo. Leaks so far have hinted towards a dual-screen folding device with two 5.8-inch displays attached with a hinge. In addition, the device is expected to see some camera upgrades and come with a higher refresh rate display. A leak claimed that the Surface Duo 2 might pack the Snapdragon 888 and come with 5G connectivity.

The Surface Book 4 is the next most anticipated Surface device that could be announced today. The device is likely to see some design changes and come with a 2-in-1 setup with a 14-inch screen. The Surface Go 3 is also expected to be announced later today.
