Acourt sent Kiran Gosavi to 14-day judicial custody on Tuesday in connection with a 2018 cheating case. Kiran Gosavi is also an independent witness of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the Mumbai cruise drugs case.

Earlier, a court had extended his police custody by three days on November 5. He was arrested in the cheating case by the Pune Police on October 28 after absconding for a few days.

2018 CHEATING CASE

Kiran Gosavi ran a company named KPG Dreamz Solutions which promised jobs abroad to aspirants from various fields. The company used social media platforms for the promotion.

A case was registered after one such aspirant accused Gosavi of duping him of Rs 3.09 lakh on the pretext of a job at a hotel in Malaysia. Upon his arrival in Malaysia, the aspirant found out that he had been cheated by Kiran Gosavi.

The case was lodged at Faraskhana police station in Pune city. Gosavi was the main accused in this case and chargesheet had been filed in 2019, police said.

MUMBAI CRUISE DRUGS CASE

Meanwhile, Kiran Gosavi was an NCB witness in the Mumbai cruise drugs case in which as many as 20 people, including Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, were arrested.

Kiran Gosavi came into the limelight after he was seen in a selfie with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan after the NCB’s raid on a cruise ship on October 2.

Since then, Kiran Gosavi’s name has come up multiple times in the investigation into the extortion charges that were levelled against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede in the course of cruise drugs case probe.
